Japan is set to finance and help construct the Central Mindanao High Standard Highway Project, a major infrastructure development that will significantly enhance connectivity and economic activity in Northern Mindanao.
The project covers the 65.70-kilometer Cagayan de Oro–Malaybalay Section, a four-lane, High Standard Highway (HSH Class 1) designed to meet international engineering and safety benchmarks. It includes the construction of two major bridges—a 358-meter high pier bridge and a 500-meter steel bridge—spanning key terrain and river systems along the route.
