A new Surigao Airport is being proposed to support the growing number of international tourists visiting the city and to accommodate future air traffic demand in the region.
The project involves relocating the existing Surigao Airport from its current site in one of the city’s urban barangays to a more spacious suburban area, allowing room for runway expansion, modern terminal facilities, and improved safety features.
